2019/20 German Bundesliga (Week 30): SC Freiburg v Borussia Mönchengladbach (7:30pm)
By Muyiwa Akintunde
With five rounds of matches to end the season, clubs are competing for every point to reach the qualification range for next season’s continental competitions, stay afloat or avoid going down.
For Gladbach, it’s the race for Champions League participation which will be enhanced by double win over their hosts tonight after their 4-2 triumph in the first leg.
Gladbach are fourth on the log but only better than Bayer Leverkusen on goal difference, while third placed RB Leipzig are two points ahead.
Since the season resumed, Gladbach had won two and drawn one of four matches.
Within that period, Freiburg have been on the back foot with no win, two draws and two defeats. But they are not threatened by relegation being 11 points up the bottom three.
