2022 Qatar World Cup Qualifier: Cape Verde Close Gap On Nigeria

Cape Verde on Sunday do the double on Lone Stars of Liberia by beating them with a lone goal on the match-day 4 of the 2022 World cup qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng can report.

In the matchday 3, Cape Verde rallied back from a goal down to beat Liberia 1-2 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

After a scoreless first stanza and the second half stay same until 90th minute before Mendes broke the deadlock and gave host 1-0 win.

The result means that Cape Verde moved up to 7 points and reduced the point gap with Nigeria to 2 points.

The next round of matches will see Nigeria play away to Liberia and host Cape Verde in the last match while CAR face Cape Verde and Liberia in their last group games.
