Abdul Maikaba Targets Double Titles With Plateau United

By Niyi Busari

Plateau United coach, Abdul Maikaba has described his move from Akwa United to Plateau United as a fantastic one adding that winning the double in his first season at the club is not negotiable, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flying Eagles assistant coach believed his achievements at Wikki Tourists and Akwa United speak for him and sets his eyes in achieving better results with Plateau United in his three seasons at the club.

“It is a fantastic move from one of the best club in Nigeria to another big Club, I believe I did my best with Akwa United and I want to do better with Plateau United.”

He admitted that winning double with Plateau United in 2018/19 season will come on a platter of gold but reassured fans that it is achievable with the club’s available resources.

“The task at Plateau United may be a bit difficult because they are league champion a year back, so we will try our best to achieve a similar target and then try to improve our performance in the continent.”

“With the squad at our disposal in Plateau United we can win double because I have achieved a similar feat with lesser budget and players in the past.”

Maikaba promised to win the 2018/19 NPFL season and the AITEO Cup titles with Plateau United in his first attempt at the club.
