Azubuike departs Rizespor, appreciates club

After spending 5 months with Turkish Super league side Rizespor, Nigeria’s Dream Team VII captain Azubuike Okechukwu has announced his departure from the club.

Azubuike joined Rizespor on loan from the Egyptian premier league side Pyramids FC in January.

Since joining the club Azubuike has become an important player for the club alongside 2 other Nigeria internationals.

The player announced his depaturr via his social media handle on Saturday morning.

” As we concluded the season, I want say a very big thank you to Caykur Rizespor, my coaches and tireless teammates for making the last 5 months a memorable one.

I won’t forget amazing fans of Rizespor and I hope we meet again,” he concluded.

Azubuike helped Rizespor to a 10th place finish on the table with 41 points in 34 matches.
