Former Falconets captain, Oluwakemi Famuditi, has joined Bayelsa Queens FC from Confluence Queen ahead of the 2020-2021 Nigeria Womens Premier League [NWPL] season.
The 21 years old defender said she was delighted joining Bayelsa Queens, one of the strongest female football clubs in the country.
“Firstly, I want to give all glory to God almighty for bringing me this far. I want to say a big thank you to Confluence Queen management and staff members for my time with the team. Also, I must not forget my team-mates who made things possible for me while with the team,” she said.
Famuditi was quick to respond when she was asked about her desire to play for her national team.
“Of cause! I want to play for the Super Falcon after playing in all the age-grade national teams. I strongly believe the time is now. I will be glad if invited and would grab the opportunity with both hands,” she concluded.
Famuditi enjoyed five years with the Confluence Queens and also played in the Super Four last season with the Lokoja-based team.
