Enyimba International head coach, Fatai Osho has praised his lads for playing to the instructions in their 2-5 away win over San Pedro of Ivory Coast in their last CAF Confederation Cup tie played on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Osho stated that he knew San Pedro will come out in search of goals and instructed his boys to lay siege and capitalised on their porous defense. According to him, the game plan which paid off gave the two times African champions two goals in just four minutes into the game.

He, however commended the players for doing a great job and made Nigeria proud by picking the quarter final ticket.

“If you go to an away match and beat a very sound team like San Pedro, you have to commend the boys they did very well.

“The players followed every detail that was given and we are able to get a needed result. We know they will come at us but the idea was to take the initiative to them .

“We know they are going to throw up their defense and that was why we were 2 goals up in four minutes.

“I appreciate the players who carried out the master plan in a very good way.”

Enyimba are through to the quarter finals of the 2019/20 CAF Confederation Cup tournament. Enyimba were semi finalist last season and will be looking forward to go further than their last achievement.
