Nigeria vs Sierra Leone: Tetteh Releases 43-Man Squad For Super Eagles Clash
Sierra Leone head coach, Sellas Tetteh, has released a provisional list of 43 players to resume camping ahead of their 2021 Africa Cup of Nations game against Nigeria.
The Leone Stars will face the Eagles in Uyo on March 23 with the reverse fixture to be played in Freetown.
Nigeria currently lead Group L with six points while Sierra Leone are bottom of the table with just one point from their opening two games.
According to a report on Politicosl.com, East End Lions FC and FC Kallon – clubs in the Sierra Leonean’s topflight division have the highest number of players in the squad with eight players each in the 43-man list.
Kamboi Eagles have six while Bo Rangers have seven.
Meanwhile, Musa Kamara has been recalled to the squad after serving a two-match suspension by the technical team for disciplinary issues.
The players were drawn from all 14 clubs in the league.
RSLAF FC, Anti-Drugs and Central Parade, all have one player each in the squad.
The report further revealed that the invited players are expected to balance their training with the national team and their respective clubs.
The list will be pruned down by Tetteh in the coming week when the list of the overseas-based players will be announced.
