The Nigerian Classico as popularly known to some, lived up to expectations as two times CAF Champions League winner, Enyimba defeated Kano Pillars 2-1, reports.

Academy product, Anayo Iwuala opened the scoring in the 21st minutes before Gabriel Orok doubled the lead seven minutes before the break.

Fahad Usman pulled one back for back for Pillars in the 86th minutes.

At the soccer temple in Lagos, it ended 1-1 between MFM FC and Enugu Rangers.

Enyinnaya Kazie then made it two in the 64th minutes before Shedrack Oghali put Heartland back into the game with his beautiful volley in the 78th minute but Malachi Ohawuna ended their hope of a comeback with his 86th minute strike.

It ended goaless between Jigawa Golden Stars and Kwara United.

Rivers United leads the log with 12 points closely followed by Unbeaten Nasarawa United with 11 points.

Lobi Stars and Enugu Rangers completes the top four with 10 points each while Ifeanyi Ubah, Heartland, Adamawa United and Abia Warriors occupies the bottom four.
