Odion Ighalo joins another Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua
Super Eagles forward Odion Ighalo has completed his move from relegated side Changchun Yatai to another Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua, BSNSports scooped.
The 29-year-old suffered relegation with Changchun Yatai Football Club last season despite scoring 22 goals over the course of the season.
The former Watford forward was linked with a move to La Liga’s Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League during the January transfer window.
Shanghai Shenhua confirmed the deal for Ighalo with a statement on their official Twitter handle:
“Shanghai Greenland, Shenhua Football Club and Changchun Yatai Football Club reached a transfer agreement, Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo officially joined Shanghai Greenland Shenhua. “
The Super Eagles forward will reunite with his Former Watford Manager, Flores Sanchez at Shanghai.
