"3SC Will Play European Club At Opening of Reconstructed Lekan Salami Stadium" - Makinde

Plans have been concluded by Oyo State government for Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan to play a friendly match with a club from Slovekia when the reconstructed Lekan Salami Stadium will be opened, BSNSports.com.ng
The Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde made this known when congratulating members of the Ibadan Golf Club on its 30th Anniversary, pledging that he will continue to support the club and also do more in terms of giving necessary support for sports development in Oyo State.
He said that the remodelled and reconstructed Lekan Salami Sport Complex will be opened with the Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) playing a European Team from Slovakia.
He added that the match will kick off at about 8 p.m., under floodlights.
“For the first time in the history of Lekan Salami Stadium, Shooting Stars will be playing a team from Slovakia and we will be kicking off at about 8 p.m. So, we will play the game under floodlight. He told journalists.
“We will be watching subsequent games of the Shootings Starts under floodlights. When we are done from work, we will go home and relax and watch our darling team,” he added.
Having played in all the finals of CAF club competitions, Shooting Stars who is playing in the Nigeria second tier league, NNL, hope to gain promotion to the Nigeria Professional Football League with their impressive performance in the 2020/21 NNL season. The team has recorded the best performance in the league and adopted Dipo Dina Stadium in Ogun State to allow the Adamasingba stadium be reconstructed.
