 Galatasaray is on the verge of finalizing one of the most significant transfers in its history, with Nigerian international Victor Osimhen set to arrive in Istanbul this week. The high-profile move marks a major statement by the Turkish champions and has captured attention across Europe, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After a series of complex negotiations with Napoli—characterized by intermittent hurdles linked to club president Aurelio De Laurentiis’s shifting demands—a comprehensive agreement has now been reached.

According to sources close to the matter, Galatasaray will pay an initial €40 million, with a further €35 million to be settled in two instalments by the end of 2026. The deal also includes a 10% sell-on clause in favor of Napoli, as well as a restriction preventing Osimhen’s transfer to another Italian club for two years.

Napoli’s stipulation for a bank guarantee has reportedly been fulfilled, and the contract awaits final signatures. Both Italian media and insiders close to the player indicate that the formalization of the transfer could be completed within hours.

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek, who has played a central role in the negotiations alongside board member Abdullah Kavukçu, has already informed head coach Okan Buruk of the imminent arrival.

“We’re bringing Osimhen to Istanbul within the week,” Özbek is reported to have said, signaling a landmark moment for the club.
