AFCON 2025: Egypt Arrives Casablanca Ahead Of Third-Place Playoff Against Nigeria

The Egyptian national football team has arrived in Casablanca ahead of their third-place playoff clash against Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Pharaohs, led by head coach Hossam Hassan, departed Tangier earlier on Wednesday and made the short trip to Casablanca as final preparations begin for the encounter scheduled for January 17.

Egypt will be aiming to finish the tournament on a positive note after missing out on a place in the final, while Nigeria’s Super Eagles are also seeking consolation following their semifinal exit.

Both teams are expected to intensify training in Casablanca in the coming days as they fine-tune tactics and squad selection ahead of what promises to be a competitive playoff fixture between two of Africa’s most successful football nations.
