African Volleyball Championship: Cameroon Wallops Nigeria

Nigeria Women's Volleyball team were brought down to earth on Thursday as they suffered a 3-0 defeat to the host Cameroon in the second group game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigerian side started the competition strongly on Wednesday thrashing Mali 3-0 to send a warning signal to other teams in the group.
They faced Cameroon who also won their opening game 3-0 but had to succumb to the firepower of the host.
Cameroon dominated the game from the first quarter to record a 25-17 win and also won the second quarter 25-13.
They wrapped up the game with a 25-18 victory to condemn Nigeria to their first defeat of the championship.
