As they continue their preparations to face the league champions Bayern Munich this weekend, the manager of Beyern Levelekusen Xabi Alonso has tagged Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface as a special player, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The youngster joined the German side this summer from the Belgian club USG and his presence is one of the key reasons Leverkusen is topping the Bundesliga table with a 100 percent record.

They will face an uphill task this weekend when they confront the former European champions Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

And the former Spanish International is already banking on the Nigerian attacker to continue his impressive form in the game.

"He’s a great player, a special player. He’s a striker but he doesn’t just play for himself, he’s generous. We are really happy to have him here", the coach on Thursday afternoon.

Boniface who made his debut in the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe is already on 4 goals and 2 assists this season.
