"Go For Gold" - President Tinubu Charges D’Tigress

Nigeria President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday charged the senior national women's basketball team, D'Tigress to go all out and win the remaining matches in the 2024 women's basketball at the Olympics in France, BSNSports.com.ng reports

In his message to the D'Tigress, he congratulated the African champions on being the first African team to qualify for the quarter-final of the women’s basketball at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

D’Tigress after handling defeat to Canada on Sunday afternoon made record as the first African team in basketball to play in the quarter-finals at the Olympics.

Tinubu, in a statement by his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, commended the team for their uncommon demonstration of resilience, teamwork and diligence.

He also commended the coach and managers of the team for their dutifulness and dedication.

The President enjoined the brave Tigress not to rest on their oars until the final victory is won.

He also assured the team and the entire Nigerian contingent at the 2024 Olympics of his support as they fly the nation’s flag at the global sports event.
