"I Am Not Injured" - Gift Monday Reacts To Shocking Omission From Super Falcons WAFCON Squad

In-form Gift Monday, who plays for the Washington Spirit has debunked rumours that injury cost her place in the Super Falcons squad for the 2024 WAFCON, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Head Coach Justine Madugu had selected captain Rasheedat Ajibade, goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie, and forwards Francisca Ordega and Asisat Oshoala among a list of 24 players for the Super Falcons’ quest for a 10th continental title at the 13th Women's Africa Cup of Nations finals to be staged 5th – 26th July in Morocco. 

Reacting to her omission from the squad on her Instagram story, she said: "I am not injured, I am very much healthy."

Her omission has sparked reactions after an impressive 2024/25 season with Tenerife and Washington Spirit, where she played 28 games, bagged 14 goals and 4 assists with a total of 18 goal contributions.
