"I Have Never Turned Down Nigeria" – Tosin Adarabioyo

England-born Nigerian defender Tosin Adarabioyo has dismissed rumours suggesting that he rejected the chance to play for Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Though Adarabioyo has represented England at various youth levels, he remains eligible to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The towering centre-back made it clear that he has never turned down the opportunity to represent Nigeria but acknowledged that there had been some discussions in the past.

"All those reports are false. I have never turned down Nigeria, nor have I had any formal conversation about playing for them," Adarabioyo explained.

 "Last season, there were some talks, but I told the club I wanted to focus on my club career, then at Fulham. Now, I’m at Chelsea, and my focus is on the club," he added.
