Pinnick and the Nigeria Football Federation have been accused of imposing players on coaches as reasons for the poor performance of the National Teams in recent times.

But Amaju has come out to clear the air that the only time he dabbled with the team selection with the super eagles was when he insisted on Ahmed Musa being on the squad to the 2018 world cup in Russia.

He revealed that then Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr had left out Ahmed Musa, but he insisted the player be re-instated.

Ahmed Musa then went on to score a brace against Croatia in the second group game of the 2018 World Cup but the Super Eagles failed to progress beyond the group stage after losing their group game to Argentina.
