Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has expressed his admiration for Morocco, praising the country’s football infrastructure and atmosphere, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Osimhen was the standout performer as the Super Eagles sealed a 4-1 victory over Gabon in Thursday’s World Cup playoffs semi-final, delivering an inspiring display that helped Nigeria advance to the final.

Speaking after the match, the Napoli forward highlighted how comfortable and motivated he feels whenever he plays in Morocco.

“Morocco is truly a grand pays de football. The level of infrastructure here is incredible.”

Osimhen added that the nation remains one of his favourite venues to compete due to its organization and world-class facilities.

“I am always very happy to come and play in Morocco, and I am convinced that la CAN sera impressionnante au vu de tout ce qui est mis en place,” he said, noting that the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations hosted on Moroccan soil promises to be spectacular.

The Super Eagles will now turn their attention to Sunday’s final of the World Cup playoffs, where they aim to book a spot in the intercontinental final and move closer to securing qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
