"I Want To Win AFCON" - Peseiro Insists

Ahead of the start of the 2023 African Cup of Nations, Super Eagles of Nigeria coach Jose Peseiro has once again reiterated his desire to win the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Peseiro made his intention known during a short interview with NFF TV he admitted that the Super Eagles currently have the best-attacking talent in the continent.

And he hopes that will propel them into greater achievement in Ivory Coast.

“Currently, the Super Eagles have the best attack on the continent, and I have evaluated the players and the situation, and I want to win the AFCON, it’s my goal, my objective.

“It’s not easy as there are other candidates, as everyone knows. 

You also need to respect the other national teams and know their strengths, but at the same time, we want to fight to win the AFCON. We also have a difficult group. 

Some of the teams in our group had a better showing at the last tournament, so we want to do better", he said.
