Naija Ratels captain, Onome Ebi said she is still holding her place in the Nigeria senior women's senior national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports

Ebi, 40, who is the only African player (male or female) to feature six times in the FIFA World Cup told www.bsnsports.com.ng that she penned a deal with Abuja based Nigeria Women's Football League side, Naija Ratels to keep her place in the national team.

"I agreed to sign a deal with Naija Ratels to keep fit and keep my place in the national team. Also, I agreed to return back to the domestic league to fulfill my long time dreams.

"I am happy to see young players asking me for advise and taking pictures with me before and after every match.

Since her return back to the NWFL, Onome's name was missing in the last two Super Falcons lists submitted by the acting head coach of the team, Justin Madugu and this raised question on whether or not she will be invited in the subsequent games.
