"I will make you proud" Abia Warriors Chairman John Obuh assures Gov Alex Otti

The newly appointed Chairman of Abia Warriors Football Club, has assured the Governor of Abia State H. E. Alex Otti, of his intention to revive the reputation of football in the state given the opportunity availed by his position, bsnsports.com.ng reports
The 63-year-old former Nigeria Football manager, and current administrator told the media at a press conference in Abia State, of his gratitude to the State and the opportunity it brings.
"This is a great opportunity for me to contribute to the development of football in my state and I appreciate this opportunity" Obuh said as Chairman of Abia Warriors FC.
"I will assure you that you will not be disappointed, we will make you proud," he stated.
Obuh was most recently the coach of Akwa United FC, and was in charge of Nigeria's U-17 national team at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup, after leaving Kwara United due to contractual indemnities.
Obuh eventually resigned his position as Manager of the U-20 team on the 20th of July 2013, before taking the Managerial role at Enugu Rangers in September that same year.
Obuh was appointed manager of Kwara United on 16 January 2016, and also spent time as Technical adviser and head coach of Akwa United in August 2019 after replacing Rafael Everton.
Abia Warriors lost out of making the NPFL Super 6 Playoffs by goal difference tally after tieing Sunshine Stars on 27 points from 18 games to finish 4th on the Group B log, with hopes to achieve better heights in the forthcoming Nigeria Premier League season.
