Head Coach of Flying Eagles, Ladan Bosso has said that he and other technical crew are working round the clock to get a formidable team before the WAFU U20 Championship commences on May 7, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Speaking exclusively with BSN Sports, the former Ifeanyi Ubah FC gaffer said in just four Days in camp, he has gotten a team closer to the one that represented Nigeria at last WAFU B competition in Benin Republic.

"What i am seeking already is closer to the team I took to Benin Republic, so, with what I am seeing now, a formidable team will be ready before the tournament commences.

He however stated that the team is lacking a strong defense and promised to fortify the backline with experienced NPFL players.

"For this team now, what we are lacking is the four back line. And the four back line for me, i think it is better we use the NPFL players because of their experience, composure and maturity because going for a tournament like WAFU, the defense must be solid. On the attack, we Will work on them and start getting the goals. If you see the training today, you will see that they created many chances but not scoring. The most difficult thing in the game of football is creation of space. If they can create spaces, then the Coach can tell them how to score goals."

Flying Eagles of Nigeria who resumed camping on Monday will Face Ghana and Burkina Faso where two top teams qualify for the semi-final. The tournament severs as CAF U20 African Nations Cup qualifier where African representatives at the FIFA U20 World Cup will emerge.
