Jafaru Ango Promises To Restore Sports In Nasarawa State

Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nasarawa State, Hon. Jafaru Ango, has made a solemn pledge to go the extra mile in restoring the lost glory of sports in Nigeria’s Home of Solid Mineralsâ€
The Commissioner who believes in creativity and excellence gave this assurance on Tuesday in Abuja shortly after the draws for the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
Displaying his deep passion for sports, Hon Ango said that sports development was tied to the provision of facilities, technical capacity, and a sustainable reward system which is why the state is working so hard to ensure proper maintenance of sports facilities in the state.
According to him, I am just a week as a newly appointed commissioner, but I want many to understand that in sports only one person can’t do it, it’s all about family affairs, and we have to come together to ensure things are put together so that whatever that has gone wrong be fix to bring all sports activities to Nassarawa metropolis,
“And we are going to leave no stone unturned to ensure we restore sports lost glory in Nassarawa state
“We try to put machinery on the ground and put better mechanisms and by the grace of God my new slogan is creativity and excellence
He expressed that, though Nassarawa United suffered back by not being in the premier league but assured that come next year United will be back to the league; “Nassarawa United suffered set back by not being in the premier league and I pray by the grace of God next year the team will be back to the Nigeria Premier league.
“That is why we are still working on I visited the Lafia City Stadium on Monday and it’s expected to take a new look so by God’s grace very soon in the next three weeks, we are going to be set up,†he assured.
