Bukayo Saka has once again expressed pride in his Nigerian heritage after a resurfaced interview clip drew widespread attention on social media, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

In the interview with the BBC, the Arsenal and England forward introduced himself using his full Yoruba name and spoke about the influence of his upbringing on his character and values.

“My name is Bukayo Moses Ayoyinka Temidayo Saka. I am very proud of it,” the 24-year-old said. “Both my parents grew up in Nigeria, so many of their values have been instilled in me.”

Born in Ealing to Nigerian parents, Saka explained that his cultural roots continue to play a significant role in shaping his identity, despite representing England at international level.
