NPFL Transfer: Former Barcelona B Star Joins Heartland FC

Ahead of the start of the 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League season, the newly promoted side Heartland FC has confirmed the signing of a star player, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After spending a season in the lower division, the Imo state-based club returned to the elite division last season, following their incredible performance in the Super Six.

To have a good outing in the coming premier league season, the club has confirmed the arrival of Ezekiel Bassey.

Former Enyimba International midfielder returned to Nigeria a few seasons ago after a short stint with the B side of Spanish and Catalan giants FC Barcelona.

Apart from playing in Spain, Bassey has also played in Egypt with Al Masry and upon his return to Nigeria, he represented Akwa United.
