Club Brugge head coach Christos Tzolis has expressed concern over the injury sustained by Nigerian midfielder Ralph Onyedika, hoping it won’t keep him out for long, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Onyedika was forced off just 15 minutes into Wednesday’s Jupiler Pro League clash against Westerlo.

His absence was immediately felt as the encounter turned into a frantic, high-scoring affair.

Speaking after the match, Tzolis admitted the midfielder’s early withdrawal disrupted his side’s defensive balance.

“It was clear that Onyedika’s injury weakened our defence. I hope it is not too serious,” the coach said.

Onyedika is scheduled to undergo medical tests in the coming days, after which Club Brugge will provide a full update on his condition.
