Following Super Falcons 2-0 loss to Canada in the early hours of Saturday, the team's coach Randy Waldrum has taken time to praise the goalkeeping department for a job well done despite the defeat, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
Speaking via Super Falcons Facebook page, Randy Waldrum said:
"I thought those players for me, both goalkeepers were fantastic and you know we've seen Tochi now in two big games also against the US last summer and came on for Chiamaka a little bit in the second half against Canada and both goalkeepers have played extremely well so I'm confident in our goalkeeping department. We've got a core good goalkeepers for our team."
Meanwhile, following the defeat on Saturday, the Super Falcons in early hours of Monday returned to training at the University of Victoria pitch in preparation for the second game against Canada.
The Falcons will play Canada again on Tuesday having lost to them on Saturday but this time at the Starlight Stadium in Langford, Canada.
