Nwaimo stated this after his team defeated the Lagos-based side in 1-0 in Matchday 7 fixture in the Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference Group A, that took place at the Umuahia Township Stadium.

"First, I want to thank God for the back-to-back wins. I want to say a big thank you to my team mates for the good fight. I'm happy to win the Man of the Match award. It is a motivation for me to do more and improve and I am so happy to get my first assist of the season."

Second half substitute, Emeka Maduka made a big difference, as he scored in the final nine minutes of the game as Abia Comets Football Club of Umuahia defeated Lagos based club, 1472 FC 1-0, to secure its first win of the year.
