"Formation of LMC Is Wrong And Fraudulent" - Baribote By Niyi Busari Former Chairman, Nigeria Premier League (NPL), Victor Baribote has said that the League Management Company (LMC) is not recognized by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) statutes adding that the seating of LMC Chairman as Second Vice president of the NFF is an aberration, BSNSports.com.ng can report. Baribote argued that LMC is a private company set up to raise funds to run the League and make profit. According to him, being part of football decision making body is against the NFF Statutes. He said, "The formation of LMC is wrong and fraudulent. Looking at the Members of the NFF, Article 10 from A to E of NFF Statute, there's nowhere you will find the name LMC and again taking a look at Article 33 which clearly stated that the Chairman of the League shall be the Second Vice president. And if you look at the preamble of WAFU book, it was stated that the Chairman of Nigeria Premier League is the only body that can manage the League in Nigeria and that has not been amended. No where the name LMC is mentioned. Now, the issue is that when a law is stated in a prticular way of doing things. You must do it the way it is stated. Until they decide to do things right, we can never get it right. LMC is a private company who are out to make profit irrespective of how the product is being managed what they're after is how to make money. He added, "Now, the Nigeria football is on the floor struggling to breath. LMC is a fraud because a body that is not part and parcel of an organization or Association cannot claim to be a member. Now, the LMC Chairman seating at the NFF as the second vice president of the NFF is an aberration. There own is to raise funds to run the Nigeria Football League and manage their own affairs because in Article 18 sub 2, it states that all affiliate of the NFF must be independent to manage their won affairs."
