"Go For Gold" - Senate Committee On Sports Tell Nigeria Team Ahead African Nations Cup

Vice-chairman, Senate House Committee on Sports, Kola Balogun has urged the Nigeria Minifootball national team to go for the trophy in the second African Minifootball Cup, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Senator during his visit to the team camp at Ilaji Hotels and Resorts, assured the team that Nigerians are solidly behind them adding that putting in their best will help in ensuring they don't disappoint the fans.
"I want to assure you that the Senate and entire Nigerians are solidly behind you. You have a duty to play well and win the trophy and also qualify for the world cup.
"Winning is not going to be easy but it is very important not only to you but to the entire nation. Me personally I am going to do my best to make Nigeria rule the rest of Africa.
Captain of the team, Moses Ocheje, while commending Senator Kola said the visit is a morale booster necessary to achieve their dream of winning the second edition of the competition.
"We appreciate you, sir. We are happy to receive and seeing you among us is a morale booster ahead of the Nations Cup. We will not disappoint Nigerians and that's why we have been working very hard to make sure our fans are not let down.
The Secretary General of the Nigeria Minifootball Association, David Adewoye thanked Senator Kola Balogun describing the visit as timely and tonic needed by the team to go extra mile when hostilities begins on 8 July.
"The visit is a needed tonic for the team in achieving their set target. They're determined to go ahead and win the title they know what's ahead of them and I can assure Nigerians that will not disappoint them." He concluded.
The top five teams at the end of the competition will fly African flag at the Minifootball World Cup.
