"He Is Best In A Two" - Brendan Rodgers Speaks On Iheanacho's Lack Of Game Time Omolagba Oluwayemi Leicester City coach Brendan Rodgers has revealed why Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho has lacked game times this season, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Iheanacho who was an integral part of the Leicester side that clinched the FA Cup and also narrowly missed out on Champions League qualifications last season hasn't really featured for the Foxes this season despite being tipped to lead them to success again this season. Brendan Rodgers while questioned on his decision to leave the saviour from last season on bench for most games this season said: “I think we’ve said it before: he’s best in a two, that’s clear, that’s when he’s been really good. “He’s training well, he’s a great professional, Kels, and he knows he’s going to feature over the course of this period at some point." “It’s not the goalscoring that’s been an issue for us. We’ve created chances, we’ve scored goals, and scored enough goals to win games. “My immediate concern is more getting that collective back, and getting that solidity into the team again and knowing that all of these guys will get a chance to play at some point.” Iheanacho benefited from Rodgers 4-4-2 formation last season as he notched scored 16 goals between February and May playing alongside Jamie Vardy, to finish as the club’s top scorer. But things has not been the same for the former Manchester City striker this season since Rodgers decided to switch to th4-2-3-1 formation which has hampered his playing time although he has registered three goals and five assists to his name, averaging a goal involvement every 104 minutes, a better rate than Vardy (one goal involvement every 133 minutes) but not as good as Daka (one every 91 minutes).
