"I am at Rangers on technical assistance" - Salisu Yusuf

The newly appointed Rangers head coach Salisu Yusuf has confirmed that he was seconded to the team by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, to assist the team on technical ground BSNSports.com.ng can report.

Salisu Yusuf joined Rangers on Wednesday after the team management named new set of coaches that will handle the team both in the domestic and continental engagements.

"I am here on technical assistance because of the team is representing Nigeria in the Confederations Cup and the circumstance on the ground lead to my federation's assigning me here.

"I am always positive we want to take the team to the next level from where they are now we know is not going to be easy we to change things but it will be gradual , we have game on Sunday we will just introduce one or two things from our own side and add it to their own and see what we will get positively we are hoping for a better results," he said.

Yusuf has immediately resumed training with the team on Wednesday after his appointment.
