"I Am Opened To New Offers" - Caleb Esu

Nigeria National League (NNL) winner with Dakkada International Football Club, Coach Caleb Esu has disclosed that he is opened to new offers ahead of the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, BSNSports.com.ng report.

Esu who led Akwa Starlets, now Dakkada FC to NNL triumph last year said this while reacting to questions on "Sports Centre" on XL106.9FM, Uyo.

"I am a professional coach to the core. The highest bidder takes it all, just that I started with Dakkada. You are aware I left Rovers to Go Round, Go Round to Akwa Starlets that turned out to become Dakkada FC.

"Our business is always going out to do the little we can. My own take is going to improve status quo of footballing wherever I go. I try as much as I can to do my very best to prove and satisfy whoever that is my employer…I must say that the future for me is that I am very much ready. I am free."

Esu expressed confidence over his ability to excel anywhere.

"I don't think I will go to any team and fail if I am able to get all the things that I need to see me succeed. So I am ready for any team that will come my way".

On whether he has been approached by any team, Esu said:

"Enyimba came calling; but we have not tied our knots. The thing went viral and people said I had abandoned my team. I am not a kind of coach that runs into signing deals. I take my time as a professional that I am. I am a veteran now. I am not looking for fame."

It is certain Esu who impressed with Dakkada FC in his debut season is set to depart the Uyo-based side though he says that he is in love with Akwa Ibom and would not say no to working in the state again.

"I will love to work in Akwa Ibom because that is where football is supported by the Honourable commissioner for Sports(Monday Uko) and the Senior Special assistant to the Governor on Sports (Paul Bassey). If Dakkada wants me back, no problem. We can sit at a roundtable and negotiate; but at the moment, I am free and open to new offers.

The CAF 'A' licensed tactician led Dakkada FC to their maiden NPFL campaign last season amidst stellar displays while finishing eighth on the log before the league was halted after match day 25.

Harrison Ibukun, Osimaga Duke, Femi Ajayi, Moses Effiong, Eso Archibong, Imo Obot, Alalibo Somiari and a host of other youngsters all impressed under Esu last term.
