"I Expect Bosso, Others To Live Up To Expectations - Tijani Babangida
By Sampson Adedeji
Former Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Tijani Babangida has stated that he expect the duo of newly appointed coaches for U20 and U17, Ladan Boss and Fatai Amoo to deliver for the country, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Nigeria Football Federation ( NFF) on Friday announced coaches for various National teams with appointment of Bosso and Amoo been the main point of discussions.
"I saw the appointment, Bosso for U20, he has been there before and I think that this a big challenge for him now, because many people are expecting to see what he can do." Tijani Babangida told Ahmad Emmanuel on his sports programme on radio.
"Bosso is an experience coach and he will be able to select good players because he knows all the players and I believed he will do well," he said.
Amoo in U17, also not new in the National team, he is being there before and we are expecting him to go for more younger players, because winning U17 is not that important because we've been winning it .
I wish we get players that will be more stronger for the senior national teams .
Babangida who doubles as President, Players Union says he is disappointed over NFF not aming Finidi George as one of the national team coaches.
"Players like Finidi George with all his achievement, I think if he comes back to Nigeria and ask for a job, even if it's Super Eagles, Finidi George is entitled and qualified to get that job immediately.
"But unfortunately, I don't know what is happening, but for me personally I find it very disappointing," he lamented.
