"I Will Ensure Dennerby Returns As Falcons Coach" - Minister of Sports

Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare has stepped in to resolve the resignation of Super Falcons coach Thomas Dennerby who tendered his resignation on Monday 16th September, 2019.

BSN Sports reports that Dennerby submitted his resignation letter to the Nigeria Football Federation stating that some of the federation officials are frustrating his efforts.

The minister on his official Twitter handle stated that he has been briefed about what led to his resignation and will return him back to his position as the head coach of the Nigeria senior national team.

"I have personally stepped into the matter of Thomas Dennerby, the Coach of Super Falcons. I received a brief this morning and will proceed to seek a quick resolution to ensure he continues to Coach Nigeria’s female team." Sunday Dare wrote.

The Swede who guided the Falcons to victory at the 2018 African Women Cup of Nations in Ghana fingered internal factors leading to his resignation.
