"It's Easier For Me To Adapt To French Ligue 1" - Moses Simon
By Sampson Adedeji
After the completion of his loan spell in the French Ligue One with Nantes FC, Nigeria's Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has revealed reason he was able to have an amazing season.
Simon moved to the French Lique One side from the Spanish La Liga side UD Levante during the winter transfer window in January and was able to justify his inclusion in the team.
Simon, while speaking to ESPN said it was easier for him to adapt to French football because he understood the language better than when he was in Spain.
"At Levante, I did not play very well due to some circumstances with the coach.
“In Spain, the coach only spoke Spanish and I needed a translator.
“It was easier to play in France because I understand the language more and the communication is very good with the coach.
“I am enjoying my football now. The most important thing is to play. Not to sit on the bench. To have the freedom to play, have the freedom to speak. and to do what you know how to do best," he told ESPN.
Simon who clinched the club player of the year is expected back at the camp of UD Levante at the end of the season.
