"It's Privilege Playing For Manchester United" - Ighalo
By Sampson Adedeji
Former Nigeria's Super Eagles striker Odion Jude Ighalo has stated that it was a huge privilege for him to be playing for English premier league giant Manchester United.
Ighalo moved to Old Trafford on loan from Chinese Super league side Shanghai Shenhua during winter transfer window in January 2020 and his loan was extended till January 2021 following his amazing performance, BSN Reports.
Ighalo has shown his own clinical quality on the pitch, with five goals in four starts for the Reds, and has earned praise from Solskjaer for his upbeat presence on the pitch and around the squad.
We have a good squad with good lads and good players, who are ready to work to give everything they have for the team,” said Ighalo.
“So it’s a privilege for me to join them, to play with these great lads – the young ones, the mature ones.
They are good people and you see the atmosphere is always great - people are happy coming to work to do their job, smiling and all that.
“Me, I’m a happy guy, you know, I’m always around there and sharing with everyone – who is playing, who is not playing, who is down.
“We just laugh and talk about everything. I’m happy if the manager thinks I’m a great addition to the team but the squad is fantastic.
“I'm happy to always encourage the young ones as well, to push them to achieve their dream and work hard," he concluded.
