"Learning From Mike Idoko, Two Others Made Me Who I Am Today" - Ekene Adams By Niyi Busari General Manager of Remo Stars, Ekene Adams has said that going through the school of thought of Mike Idoko, Rumson Victor Baribote and Rasheed Balogun made him to become a successful football administrator. The former Kada City owner in an exclusive interview with BSN Sports said, "I came from Mike Idoko school of thought and there's need to let people know. He added, "I have worked with one of the most successful football administrator so far and I'm proud to say that Idoko has ensured that I become somebody in life. He adopted to see that I got to this level and I will also thank the likes of Rasheed Balogun, Tukur Babangida, Victor Baribote, Abdulazaiz Mohammed and Shehu Adamu. When things were bit difficult for me, I ran to them for advice and they tried to guide me accordingly. When it comes to administration, Balogun, Tukur, Baribote I adopted their styles in any game I want to play. He said Remo Stars is a work in progress but will do things their own way to stand toe-to-toe with the NPFL big boys. "So, Remo Stars is a work in progress and surely Remo stars will compete with the best and will try to do our things in our own way, in the sense that there are big boys in terms of Enyimba, Shooting, Kano Pillars, Rangers, Nasarawa, Akwa United we respect them. We knew they are the big boys but we will cut our coats according to our sizes and will do things in a way that will favour our system. Reacting to Remo brilliant start in the NPFL, Ekene said, "First and foremost, we have one of the best football coach in the land which is Gbenga Ogunbote, secondly, we recruited according to what the league is all about and what we want to achieve, so I think the bigger team though I don't want to refer to them as bigger team but we are going to compete with them. We psyche ourselves and tell the players what we have and what we don't have we don't say it. On my own part as the general manager of the team I tried to encourage the players and tell them that they can be what they want and used this platform for where they want to get to. And if they have issues, the best way to communicate with them is to see their technical adviser who has build a team. We make sure that the little we have we give the players as at went due, so if the league continue this way, the LMC care for everyone both home and away I believe we will compete with anyone in the land. He commended the League Management Company (LMC) for their swift reaction to Dakkada FC unruly behavior in their match-day 4 encounter with Remo Stars in Uyo. "It's unfortunate that it happens that way and not even Dakkada alone I think LMC must put their hands on all decks to make sure hooliganism never prevailed in our league. We lost point at home nobody died, we didn't attack anyone. Dakkada took laws into their hands, lmc too are doing everything possible to ensure that the image of the league are protected. Anybody that do things like this must be sanctions."
