Newly appointed Nigeria's Super Eagles assistant coach Joseph Yobo has said his presently undergoing a coaching course and would have been certified if not for the outbreak of Corona virus.

Since the appointment of the former captain, there have been uproar about his coaching qualifications and experience, with some believing that he didn't deserve the job, BSN Reports.

The former Everton player cleared the air on the issue and sure that he will certified immediately football recovered.

"It's in progress, everything is going to come through, if not for this pandemic as well. I'm a practical kind of person….

"I bring in my experience, I am going to bring in belief, I am going to be an interface between the players," he said.

Before his retirement, Yobo made 101 caps for Nigeria and also led Super Eagles to 2013 African Cup Of Nations victory in South Africa.
