NFF Should Come Up With How FIFA Relief Funds Will Be Distributed - Chairman, FCT FA
By Niyi Busari
The Chairman, Federal Capital Territory Football Association, FCT FA, Alhaji Abba Muktar Mohammed has said that the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, should come up with modalities on how the FIFA Relief Funds will be distributed among clubs and other beneficiaries, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Muktar added that the nation's capital Football Association has not received any money nor guidelines on the funds adding that the federation must make modality available to know who is getting what.
"As for palliative to be shared for the private clubs, we (FCT FA) has not received any money yet, nor guideline as to how the money should be distributed. There must be modality in that line to know who is getting what," he told BSN Sports.
"We have seen Ghana and Senegal come up with modalities and guidelines on how it will be distributed. So, I am expecting the NFF to do same to clear the air and expectation from different quarters." He added.
He said the clubs who are among the beneficiaries are silent because most of them are government owned but clamoured for the release of funds to the privately owned clubs who are most hit during the Covid-19 pandemic.
"You see the majority of clubs in Nigeria are government owned so they are bit cautious. I think the most clubs that need this palliative are the private owned clubs who have invested their hard earned resources into the game.
