By Adejuyigbe Olorunfemi
The coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr, doesn’t want his side to be distracted despite their aim of having Chelsea's Tammy Abraham and Tomori to the Nigerian side. Bsnsports.com.ng reports.
Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have to themselves option of playing for England. The duo are finding it reluctant to commit their future to Nigeria, in which Gernot Rohr respects their decision.
"They are both interesting players, but we have made our immediate plans without Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori," Rohr told BBC Sport.
"They are not interested in discussing their international options at the moment and we need to respect that."
Abraham played twice for England, in friendlies against Germany and Brazil in November 2017, but could still play for Nigeria having never represented the English side in any competitive fixture.
For Fikayo Tomori, he is yet to be capped by England's senior team but has played for the England U21’s 15 times. He is also eligible to play for Canada.
Gernot Rohr continues to prepare ahead of their friendly match clash against the samba boys Brazil, on October 13.
