Rivers United Vs NFF: "We Are Not Going To Rest Until We Get Justice" - Rivers State Commissioner for Sports.

The war of words continue between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and Nigeria Professional Football League Club Rivers United over the outcome of the last season final league table, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 2019/20 league season was cut short at week 25 due to outbreak of Corona virus which halted the sports activities around the world including Nigeria.

The League Management Company (LMC) decided to end the season with a point per game (PPG) decision which its outcome has been causing uproar within 2 rivalry clubs, Rivers United and Enyimba international.

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) under Amaju Melvin Pinnick has further ratified the league table which further more problem on the matter.

The commissioner for Youth and Sports in Rivers State on Thursday while speaking to pressmen stated that they are ready to seek justice anywhere over the matter.

"I need to talk about what has transpired within the past weeks or month, I'm using this opportunity to plead with Federal ministry of Sports to wade into the matter matter.

"The President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick and his co travellers, especially the chairman of League Management Company Mallam Shehu Dikko are taking Nigeria football 50 years behind.

"I'm saying all these with all evidence within my purview that if these two persons and co travellers in the NFF are not call to order , Nigeria football will continue to dwindle, even worse than the situation we find ourselves.

"How can you have matter before you and NFF president will visit Abia state on 21st of August and then come on Monday to release a white paper and confirmed the decisions of Nigeria Football Federation, what has happened ? How did water enter the melon? .

"He should explain to us and if he doesn't tell us we will expose everything that has been going on in the NFF.

"I'm confirming to you that we are not going to rest on this matter until Rivers United and people of Rivers state get justice", he said.

The PPG and head to head rules dropped Rivers United to third position behind Enyimba international.
