"You Can't Lie Against Federal Government And Get Away With It" - Minister Warns Siasia By Niyi Busari The Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare insisted that the Ministry facilitated the intervention funds donated by the State Governments to Samson Siasia to sponsor his appeal case at the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS), BSNSports.com.ng can reveal. The former Super Eagles and Flying Eagles coach was banned for life from all football activities by FIFA following his involvement in fixing an international match involving Nigeria. Last week, CAS hearing his appeal upturned FIFA judgement and reduced the life ban to five years. Addressing the press in Abuja, Samson Siasia while appreciating CAS accused the Federal Government, the Ministry of Sports as well as the minister of abandoning him when he needed them to help him fight the world football governing body. Sunday Dare insisted that the former Super Eagles striker is not telling Nigerians the truth adding that the money he got from different state government was facilitated by the Ministry of Sports and at the appropriate time, they will come out with facts unless he says the truth. He said, " Siasia should just say the truth because we have the facts. If he got money from the state governments, which Ministry facilitated it? Which minister worked for it? He should tell Nigerians. "If it becomes absolutely necessary, we will come out with the facts as they're. I believe he is a respectable gentle man, he served this country well but I will not allow anyone to lie against the Federal Government, lie against my ministry and myself and get away with it. Why are some of these facts just coming up? Some of these things are so well documented." He concluded.
