Özbek: Galatasaray To Hold Talks With Osimhen

Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek has confirmed to the media that the Turkish Super Lig champions will hold talks with Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Özbek addressed the speculation surrounding Osimhen's future at Galatasaray in a recent statement.

When asked about Osimhen, he stated, "It is clear that our fans love Osimhen very much. He is also an excellent football player, and his sense of belonging to Galatasaray is very strong. Everyone wants to see such a player on our team.

"We are listening to these calls. The most important decision lies with Osimhen. He has his own thoughts, and we will discuss how he will respond to this outpouring of affection in the coming days.

"Our board of directors will make a decision based on their choice. There should be no doubt—just as every Galatasaray fan desires, the board also wishes to have Osimhen on the team for the Champions League next season.

" They attended a celebration dinner after the match, and we did not have the chance to meet afterwards."

Meanwhile, after Sunday’s match, the Nigerian star addressed questions about his future with the team.

Osimhen stated, "I am very happy. It is a great feeling to go down in Galatasaray history. For now, I don't know what will happen next season; I am not thinking about the future and am just enjoying the moment."

The Nigerian forward has scored 36 goals in 40 official matches for Galatasaray this season. When asked about his individual performance, he remarked, "We are the champions; there is no need to say anything else."
