12th African Games: Boxing Starts After 24 Hrs Delay As Nigeria Fights Algeria

The game of boxing will kick off today Wednesday after it has been delayed for a day more, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

According to initial official match schedule, the game was suppose to start on Tuesday but was delayed due to protest.

Organiser of the event inform www.bsnsports.com.ng in Morocco that there was a protest on Tuesday that led to 5 fights postponed to Wednesday.

In what seems to be the first game in the Preliminary fights, the fight in 52kg fight was later placed Bye. The official failed to state the reason for the protest despite efforts to get him speak about it.

However, there will be 23 Preliminary fights on Wednesday, though 11 games will be placed Bye.

At 6:00 pm at the Al-Amal Indoor sports center, Nigeria's Lawal Lukman Olaiwola will slug it out with Algerian Houmri Mohammed in the Preliminary stage of Men's Light Weight (69kg).

At 2:00 pm, Madagascar's Nomenjanahary Tony will fight against Zambia's Banda Ben.
