12th African Games: Cameroon Set Up Nigeria Final In Women Football Event

Nigeria's U20 women team the Falconets will face their west African counterparts from Cameroon in the final of the women football event of the ongoing 12th African Games, BSNSports.com.ng. can report.

The final which is scheduled to hold on Thursday 29th August at the Boubker Aamar stadium at 5:00 pm (Nigerian time) will see both sides meeting for the second time in the tournament having met in the group stage.

Cameroon, in the semifinals on Monday defeated host Morocco 3 -1 in the extra time after the regulation time ended 1-1 draw.

It was Bouftini that put the host in front in the 63rd minute before Takounda leveled the scoreline for Cameroon 3 minute later.

Two goals in the extra through Aboudi and Kameni put the Central Africans through.

Falconets had earlier on Monday defeated Algeria 3- 0 and qualified for the final.

Cameroon has now qualified for the final of African Games for the third consecutive time.

The two team had earlier met at the group stage and it ended all square 1-1.
