16 Athletes To Represent Nigeria At The Bowling Championship In Jo'burg

Eight Nigerian men and women will be ready to compete for honors when the world bowling championship African zone gets underway on the 18th of March in Johannesburg, south Africa.

Confirming this is the head coach & a former masters player Mr Olubunmi Olayemi Gabriel who said the team has been training in the last three months getting set for the competition which will also serve as a qualifier for the world championship.

Olubunmi while speaking further, also stated that the competition will be the first major tournament for Nigeria from the African zone, even as he called for a massive support from all Nigerian's in their quest to have a successful outing in south Africa.

"We've been training in the past three months now, the time is around the corner & we're using this opportunity to pass this message to all Nigerian's to come out & give us the necessary support that we need".

" Not necessarily by way of giving us cash, but by even following us on our social media platform's as this will make our game to go to the next level.

Athletes were selected based on the trial that was conducted at the dome bowling center in Abuja & they're expected to depart for South Africa latest 15th of march for the competition that will last for six days.

Nigeria will be battling it out with seven other African countries in Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Tunisia including the host nation South Africa for the tournament.
