19th NSF: Dilichukwu Thanks Ministers, Promises FCT Good Outing, Hosting By Niyi Busari The Director of Sports Department, FCT, Chief Mrs Dilichukwu Onyendinma has hailed FCT Minister, Malam Muhammed Musa Bello and Minister of Youths and Sports Development, Barr Solomon Dalung for successfully hosting of the 19th national sports festival in Abuja which started on 6th December, BSNSports.com.ng reports. Dilichukwu also assured the nation's capital residents that FCT will have good outing as they are settling for nothing but the first position on the final medals table. She added that aside being the hosts, FCT has the wherewithal to withstand the likes of Delta, Lagos, Edo and Akwa Ibom states who are the favourites to emerge top four. Speaking exclusively with www.bsnsports.com.ng in her Abuja office, she said: "Let me start by appreciating the FCT minister, Malam Muhammed Musa Bello for his support and love for sports development. He did a lot in making sure that 'Abuja 2018' comes to reality." "Also, the minister of Sports, Barr Solomon Dalung who brought in partners to assist federal government on the hosting of the national events after six years of extinction." "Under him, Nigerian sports have improved ambd won many laurels within and outside the continent, no doubt, he has added another feather by making sure the 19th national sports festival becomes a success." "I want to assure everyone that FCT will have a good outing as we are our for nothing but the first position, also all the visitors should expect the best of hospitality and treatment during their ten days stay." Team FCT will be vying for medals in 27 games with 353 athletes registered athletes. The athletes have been in Camp for months, though depending on the sports. However, close camping started on Thursday, 29th November, 2018 at Old Parade ground, Area 10,Garki Abuja. The 2019 national sports festival which started December 6 will end on the 16.
