20 Matches, Two Teams on Bye As 2019 NNL Match-day 1 Kick off on Wednesday ....3sc, Warri Wolves, Giodano, ABS, Others Get Opponents As NNL Releases Week 1 Fixture By Niyi Busari Following the draws for 2019 Nigeria National League which was made in Abuja on Thursday, the League management has released the week 1 fixture for the 42 registered teams in the abridge league. A total of twenty matches will be played next Wednesday, 3rd April 2019 when the league is expected to kick off in different match venues across the country. In group A1 Kaduna United will host newly promoted Yarma Light FC as Delta Force entertain Jigawa Golden Stars at home. FC Zamfara will travel to slug it out with Malunfashi FC and fight for the available points on the pitch. Nigerian Air Force (NAF FC) will host Kogi United at the Area 3 Playground as EFCC FC travel to Taraba state to have a showdown with Taraba FC. In group A2, Real Stars are on bye as newly promoted Green Beret FC play host to Mighty Jets FC of Plateau state. Rarara FC host Sokoto United while Road Safety of Abuja and Aklosendi of Nasarawa search for their first points in Abuja. Sanctioned but returned Bimo SC host Adamawa United in Abuja while ABS FC travel to Kano to lock horns with Giodano FC. In B1, Akwa Starlets FC are on bye as Stationery Stores of Lagos entertain Jossy FC, Abia Comets FC travel to Lagos to play 36 Lions while De Sapele Lions of Delta host Osun United FC. J. Atete FC will entertain Bayelsa United at home, while 3SC visit Giant Brillars FC in the matchday 1 of 2019 NNL. In Group B2, Ibom Youths are on standby as Dynamite FC try their might against Ikorodu United in Lagos, Warri Wolves host Ekiti United in week 1 of Group B2 of 2019 NNL season. Gateway FC of Abeokuta visit Word of Life FC as Lamray United lock horns with Rovers FC. Crown FC Ogbomosho play host to Nnewi United. Each team that emerge first in the four groups get automatic promotion tickets to the Nigeria Professional Football League and will also converge in Delta state for the playoff.
